 OUR HISTORY

 

In 1972 Steve Heiser started Heiser Motors in a small service station on west Villard.   He sold mostly farm trucks. In fact if you travel around Western North Dakota, Eastern Montana, and North West South Dakota. You will find our stickers on hundreds of farm trucks.

 

 

Today Heiser Motors is owned by Larry Heiser with locations in Dickinson, and Beach ND.   

 

 Larry Heiser has made Heiser Motors into what it is today.   Westerns North Dakotas Oldest and Largest independent used dealership.   We normally have over 150  vehicles  between our 2 locations  and its not uncommon to find every thing from Classics to Current year models.

 

 

Purchasing From Heiser Motors

 

When you are buying from us you are purchasing your vehicle in a no pressure environment.   You start your deal with one of our  knowledgeable and friendly salesmen and you work with him from  start to finish    No running you from office to office   or  and person to person. Of course Larry Heiser or Carter Heiser is  usually on hand to answer your questions and help in any way we can.

 

I’m sure you have been to other dealerships that keep you there hours and hours.  Not us,    if you’re ready to buy a vehicle we can have you in and out in less then 15 minutes.   However there is no rush and we will take as much time as you need to help you make your purchase.   Another nice thing is that our salesmen will no try to sell you extras that you don’t need!

From our humble beginnings to our current establishments one thing stays the same.  Treating People Right.     Let’s face it there are tons of games that dealers play.  We don’t! Our prices are on every vehicle, our warranty spelled out in writing .   If you ever have a problem or concern at any point we are always willing to stop and listen and help in any way we can.   We don’t have fake sales,   we don’t make to good to be true offers, and we have no small print.  We just treat you the way we want to be treated.

Larry  Heiser:   Larry has been here since day 1    In Larry’s 35+ years in the vehicle business he has been the North Land Auto Dealers Association President, and has won North Dakota’s Quality Dealer of the year.

 

Carter Heiser:   Carter started out washing cars back when he was 14 years old.   Today Carter is the 3rd generation dealer to be here at Heiser Motors.     Carter has served as The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce Vice President and as a Director for 4 years.  Carter has also been an officer for the local Eagles club.

 

Bob Rising:   Bob has been with Heiser Motors since 2001;   Bob has been in the auto industry for all of his adult life.    Previously Bob was the Service Manager for a local GM store.     Bob is very involved in the local Catholic school system.  If you are from North Dakota and play any kind of sports there is a good chance you know Bob or one of his sons.

 

DEAN FRANCHUK:   DEAN CAME TO WORK FOR US FULL TIME IN JANUARY OF 2010,  HOWEVER DEAN HAS BEEN WORKING FOR US PART TIME FOR THE LAST 20+ YEARS !  PRIOR  COMING TO WORK WITH US FULL TIME   DEAN  SERVED OUR COMMUNITY IN LAW ENFORCEMENT WHICH HE RETIRED OUT OF.

 

Darren Buchholz:   Darren is our evening and weekend salesmen.  Darren has been with us  since 2001 and he’s a car nut.  If you like to talk about classic cars this is the guy, just be careful because he might just sell you one in the process.    Darren has been the president of the prairie cruisers car club.   

 

JOHNNY LEE (JL) wiatkowski:    JL has been with us since January 1 of 2009.   He runs our Beach location. , JL has been  in the car business for many years "longer then he can remember I am sure" ,  working in Beach an Glendive over the years. 

 

 

Ken Kolar:   Ken has worked   at Heiser Motors since  1985.    Ken is currently retired but after selling vehicles for most of his life he will still work by appointment   , Ken has been a President of the Eagles club and is involved the New England Lions Club,  Tuesday nights you will catch him at Burgers in the park in New England
